Description

The FOUND crest is an identifying emblem that was designed to symbolize our place as a child of God. The icons on the shield represent the sinner (skull), the saint (crown), Christ the Savior (lion) and Christ's sacrifice (slain lamb). These icons depict the story of salvation. The large sword represents the Word of God (Ephesians 6:17) and the skulls at the foot of the sword represent death which has been defeated by Christ's death and resurrection (I Corinthians 15:54). The Alpha and Omega on the shield represent the Father who is the "beginning and the end" (Revelation 21:6; 22:13) and "the first and the last" (Revelation 1:17; 2:8; 22:13). Finally, the Chi Rho monogram or combination of letters forms an abbreviation for the name of Jesus Christ. It is one of the earliest symbols of the Christian Church.
