Description
The Cirque de Debauche shirt illustrates the parable of the Lost Son found in Luke 15:11-32. The pig (sinner) takes his inheritance and squanders it in a life of wild living. The pig is shown in a variety of images within the flourished border of the design participating in a lifestyle of excessive indulgence. The Cirque de Debauche phrase is meant to portray this lifestyle as frenetic activity in which there is no meaning. In the parable, the son comes to his senses and returns home exhibiting remorse where his father proclaims "for this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found." (NIV)
